John Rankin PTFA Case Study

The John Rankin PTFA have been purchasing their colour powder from Ministry of Colours for the past 3 years. This year, Rebecca has very kindly provided a bit of insight into her experience with organising a colour run as a fundraising event!

Who are John Rankin PTFA and what do you do?

John Rankin PTFA takes on an active role in the life of our schools through a combination of social and fundraising events. We organise events, large and small, to help raise funds for the school and children. The PTFA team focus on having fun whilst meeting other parents, carers and grandparents and getting involved in life at John Rankin. We aim to bring staff, families and carers together, working for a common goal- giving the children that little bit extra!

Where did you hear of or discover MoC?

Our previous Business Manager used MoC when she moved to a different school and organised a Colour Run there. At the time she was also Co-Vice Chair for our PTFA and when she suggested our PTFA doing a colour run as a fundraising event she recommended using you again.

What caught your eye when you visited our website?

The Website is clear, and eye catching. It is easy to navigate and the products are obvious to find.

Why did you need the products you purchased?

We were holding 3 fundraising Colour Runs for 3 different age groups to raise money for our PTFA/school.

What made you choose MoC over the competition?

You were recommended to us the 1st year and gave us a discount, which as we are a charity is important to us. As we were happy with your products the 1st year we used them, we have continued to use you each subsequent year, especially as you also offered a discount as well the following year.

How did you use our products and how did the event/day go?

We used your 5kg bags of coloured powder, in 7 different colours, for 3 colour runs (21 bags in total). Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side this year as it rained on and off and was windy, with the sun coming out intermittently but the runners still had a fantastic time and the runs were a success. Once again we received lots of positive feedback about the event with both children and adults enjoying it. It was a fun event which brought the school community together.

What are your thoughts on the products you purchased since using them?

We have had no issues using the powder and it generally washes out of clothes easily. My boys, who took part, wore white shorts and T-shirts and you wouldn’t know that they had worn them in a colour run. No evidence of coloured powder on them at all after they had been washed!

Would you recommend MoC to others?

Yes we would recommend you to others- You offer a great friendly customer service and are helpful and supportive in getting the best deal for us. Delivery has been prompt and we have had no issues. The powder has always turned up in plenty of time and we have full confidence in your products.
